Originally one of the formal salons of this hotel particulier, this room features a marble fireplace and pier glass mirror, detailed plasterwork on the ceiling and a near floor to ceiling pair of french doors opening onto a small balcony surrounded by a decorative wrought iron railing typical of the period.
Furnishings include a sofa which at a single touch converts into a very comfortable Queen size bed designed for everyday use, a matching armchair and a period side chair. At the back of the room is a large early 19th century mahogany linen press with drawers and shelves for storing clothing, luggage and bedding which enables this room to be used as a fully separate bedroom as required. Other furnishings include a range of side tables and lamps, a Canterbury holding reading materials and a selection of DVD’s, the television, DVD player and remote control for cable television with both French and English language channels. |
